Application Development in a Programming Environment (3rd High School- Technological Direction).

Students develop critical thinking skills, understanding and solving problems either by using Algorithms in pseudo-code form or by using Programming Languages. Algorithm Design techniques, Tables (Unidimensional, Multidimensional), Subprograms (Departmental Programming, Procedures and Functions) are taught.

Our School participated for another year in the MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST competition. The final competition for Greece was held in Athens. The student of the first grade middle school of our school Giannopoulos P. came 1st in Greece (with a score of 969 - the highest in each category) and represented Greece in the Pan-European Final (for Europe, Africa and Asia) in Madrid, Spain on 18/6/2010. Our student in the Pan-European Final also won the 1st prize there and represented Europe in the World Final in Yuta, United States of America (USA), winning the 2nd MICROSOFT COMPUTER WORLD AWARD 2010.

Our School took part in the Student Student Office competition - Microsoft office specialist in word-excel programs, as every year at Infolab Thessaloniki. Students competed, via internet, in tests concerning the thorough use of office programs nationwide, together with students and pupils. The successful candidates qualified for the finals in Athens. The winners took part in the M.O.S. World Championship held in Canada.

In the Panhellenic Contest held by Infotest, exclusive distributor of the Microsoft Hellas certification 17/05/2008 on Spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) and Word Processing (Microsoft Word), the students Giannopoulos P. (B' Gymnasium) came 7th Panhellenic, Maranos G. (C' Gymnasium) 21st, Chrysanthopoulos S. (B' Gymnasium) 11th.Distinguished were Tsiioblika M., Tartasis M., Gazis H., Vergos F

On 30/05/2009, the student Giannopoulos G. (3rd Gymnasium) came 2nd in the national competition of Microsoft Hellas in Athens. The winners were Kavvadia G. (2nd Gymnasium) and Chrysanthopoulos S. (3rd Gymnasium).
