The teaching of French starting in the older classes of Primary School and throughout Lower Secondary School allows the students to engage in activities that make the lesson more enjoyable, to practice their oral skills through play, to learn about French or German culture and to prepare themselves as citizens of Europe. Knowledge of foreign languages and cultures plays a primary role in shaping a collective European conscience without ignoring the educational role of examinations in French or German for the respective certificates DELFUNITES A1, A2, A3, A4 .
